The links below are to help customers have the tools to shop in Sarnia without a mask using the exemptions provided in the Ontario regulation. Furthermore by educating businesses not to violate the regulation when not allowing exemptions you will be helping others in the future.
Under subsection 4(g)(j) and (k) of the O.Reg 263/20 and 364/20 the following mask exemptions are stated (more exemptions in the regulation link below):
(g) has a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask or face covering;
(j) is being accommodated in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005;
(k) is being reasonably accommodated in accordance with the Human Rights Code;
Under subsection 6 the following is stated:
(6) For greater certainty, it is not necessary for a person to present evidence to the person responsible for a business or place that they are entitled to any of the exceptions set out in subsection (4).
